Southapedia Mural Festival - Durban, South Africa

We are proud to announce the first official Southapedia Mural Festival in the heart of Durban! Southapedia is an arts initiative, and we believe public art is a powerful and important tool to inspire and ignite communities. This festival will run over two weeks, incorporating seven of Durban and Cape Town's artists, each with their own unique vision and style, creating original murals on three different walls. In
addition, a workshop will be held with the local community, which will give the youth the opportunity to be introduced to graphic design, illustration and muralism.

Schools and Universities are welcome to do a free tour on their own accord between 9 am and 4 pm daily in the times indicated below. A movie screening will be announced shortly after the final production of murals. The public is invited to come by and watch the process of the murals unfold, and please do feed the artists:) If you would like to discover more about where the murals will be going up, please follow the @southapedia Instagram account where all will be revealed soon. Any questions, please DM (@southapedia) or send an email to: southapedia@gmail.com and visit www.southapedia.com

At a later stage a guided tour of the murals will be made available and all proceeds will go towards further commissioned murals.
